Excuse me while I extricate my foot from my mouth.....ahhh, that's better. I apologize to you, Roy Dicks, especially, and anyone else who may have been offended by my comment in my previous post to this forum. It was tongue-in-cheek and seemed rather innocuous at the time. After reading my own words a week later, reading Mr. Dicks' response, and upon further reflection, I can see how my comment could be viewed as irreverent.
Mr. Dicks, my comment was not made in the spirit of debasing your experience and credibility. It was simply my (feeble) attempt at humor, the genesis of which was a sentence in your review of Lucia De Lammermoor (which for completely selfish reasons I feel compelled to address, but I don't want to take up any more space here, so I shall, if you will indulge me, continue my explanation and attempt at redemption at your published email address) |
