This year is the first year that the Opera Company of North Carolina has offered a learning dinner/discussion series. Is this series helpful to the attendees and should the Opera Company of North Carolina include this in their schedule for next season?

Due to the scheduling, it's not been easy for me to attend these up until now. I plan to get to some of these in the later part of the season and can then post a reply with more informed comments.

Yes. Attended three. The most recent, the story of Lucia, was most informative and entertaining. Having the artists (including opera about town) seated with the attendees was a nice touch.

Yes!! I've been to two dinners and they are enjoyable, interesting and deepen my understanding and knowledge of opera - not only from the speakers and topics, but from talking with other attendees. I think they're great and hope you continue to have them. The Sheraton is a nice venue, the price is great and the food has been delicious both times.

Please continue! Unfortunately, for health reasons it was difficult for me to come from Chapel Hill alone and I was unable to find anyone to attend with me this year, but expect me next year, whether alone or with a companion.

Please continue this series! I attended my first "A Taste of Opera" last month and immediately signed on for the next one. My fiance and I had a wonderful time, and both the OCNC and Sheraton staff were very accommodating about my special menu needs. Keep up the great work!

Please. Indeed. It offers a novice like myself an opportunity to acquire a more deeply understood appreciation of the art! I attended my first very recently and look forward to next year's offerings!

I have not been able to attend in the past and do hope you will continue so that I can participate this year. Please continue.

It's probably a good thing--anything that makes people learn more about opera has to be good! Also, it could be used to prepare folks for some less familiar operas by exposing them to selections from those works. This could help OCNC create more daring seasons in the future than we currently have.
